How we source data
Every number on this site can be traced to where it came from. This page explains the rules, including the ones that stop us publishing things you might want us to publish.
Why this page exists
Go and look for a methodology page on any of the big game-data sites. Warzone's biggest hubs publish tier lists, time-to-kill tables and pick rates to four significant figures, and none of them tell you where the numbers came from — whether they were pulled out of the game files, measured by hand, or copied from somebody who did one of those two.
Usually the numbers are fine. But you cannot tell the difference between a good site and a confident one without this page, and for a game nobody has played yet, that gap is the whole problem. So here is ours.
The three labels
Every factual claim on this site carries one of three labels. They are not decoration — they map to a specific evidence bar.
- Confirmed Stated by Bulkhead, Team17, or the official Steam page.
- Requires a named, linkable primary source: a Bulkhead or Team17 page, the Steam store page, or an official Steam news post. A developer saying it on camera counts. A journalist reporting that a developer said it does not — that is reported.
- Reported Published by credible games press, not yet on an official page.
- Credible games press, or first-hand player accounts that agree with each other. Good enough to publish, not good enough to state as settled. Two independent sources move a claim here; a primary source moves it to confirmed.
- Unconfirmed Community claim or not yet announced. Treat as speculation.
- A community claim, a single unverified account, or simply not announced. Published only when the absence itself is the useful information — "nobody knows the price yet" is a real answer.
Labels move in both directions, and moving them is the job. The console and monetisation answers sat here as unconfirmed until we traced them to Bulkhead's own Steam posts — both are now confirmed. The Hot Zone was marked as an unverified community rumour on this site while it was, in fact, documented on an official page we had not read carefully enough. Every label currently in force is visible on the FAQ.
Every stat is true as of a patch, never true absolutely
A weapon's cost is not a fact about WARDOGS. It is a fact about WARDOGS on a specific build. So every page carrying stats also carries a patch stamp — currently Closed Alpha, dated 7 August 2026 — and when a patch moves a number, the number and the stamp change together.
This is why we will not copy figures from another site. Without knowing which build a number came from, it is not information, it is a rumour with a decimal point.
What we will not do
We will not publish data from a build under NDA. Playtest access comes with terms, and a site whose entire product is trustworthiness does not get to break an agreement for a few weeks of early traffic. Where an NDA restricts what can be shared, we wait, and we say we are waiting rather than pretending we know nothing.
We will not invent a map, a price or a stat to fill a page. The empty states on the weapons and loadouts pages are deliberate, and the map explorer deliberately renders no terrain. A placeholder that looks like data is worse than an obviously empty page.
We will not launder a guess through confident phrasing. If the honest answer is that nobody knows, that is the answer we publish.
Playing the alpha? Here is what is worth capturing
In rough order of value, for the Closed Alpha. Anything here that lands with a screenshot gets published with credit to whoever sent it, exactly the way the best Steam guides have always worked.
- 01
The buy menu, every category
The single most valuable capture. Prices are printed on screen, so this needs no tooling and no guesswork — and the entire cost-axis premise of this site rests on it.
Need: A readable screenshot of each category page. Weapon name and price both legible.
- 02
Starting balance and earn rates
Team17 says every player starts with $10,000 and that cash persists between matches. Nobody has verified what a revive, a transport run or an objective tick actually pays.
Need: Your balance at first spawn, then a note of what a single scoring action adds.
- 03
What a death actually costs
Unpublished, and it decides how punishing the economy is. Is unspent cash kept? Is any of the loadout recovered?
Need: Balance immediately before and immediately after a death, with what you were carrying.
- 04
Map locations
Bulkhead has never published a layout. Any named POI is new information.
Need: Place names exactly as they appear, plus a map screenshot if the NDA allows it.
- 05
Hot Zone behaviour
Confirmed to pay double cash and count double towards zone score. How far it moves and how often is not documented anywhere.
Need: Roughly how large it is relative to the Control Zone, and how frequently it shifts.
Sending data, or a correction
Corrections are welcome and get applied. If you have a primary source for something we have marked unconfirmed, that is the most useful message you can send — it upgrades a label.
One screenshot makes a claim reported. Two independent captures that agree make it confirmed. Tell us which build you were on, and whether you are happy to be credited by handle.
Please do not send anything a playtest NDA covers. We would rather publish late than get you in trouble.
