How the WARDOGS Gold Exchange works
Gold bars are bought with cash, one price a day. The price is set for each date and turns over at midnight UTC, so every bar bought on the same day costs the same. When the day's price has not appeared yet, this page says so and works from the latest one rather than guessing.
Bars are what the gold market is priced in: weapon and vehicle skins, and emotes. Each listing carries a bar price, and the list above turns it into cash at today's rate. The conversion runs one way — bars do not turn back into cash.
Gold bars: how to get them, and what they cost
How do you get gold bars in WARDOGS?
Exchange cash for them at the Gold Exchange, at that day's price — $229,361 a bar on 13 October 2026. Any cash still unspent when a major update cycle ends is exchanged for gold bars automatically. Gold bars cannot be bought with real money.
Why is a gold bar so expensive?
The exchange opened Early Access at $2,798,240 a bar on 10 September 2026, around ten times what the Closed Beta panel showed ($266,246 on 22 August). The bars buy permanent cosmetics that outlast a season reset, while cash does not.
Will the gold price go down?
It moves every day. Today's $229,361 is 92% below the launch-day price. Bulkhead has not published how the daily price is set, so the chart above is the only forecast anybody has.
Can you sell gold bars back for cash?
No. The exchange's own text says gold bar exchanges cannot be resold or refunded, so converting is one-way.
What happens to your cash at the end of a season?
Level progression and cash reset at the end of a major update cycle, and any remaining cash is exchanged for gold bars automatically. The date of each reset is announced ahead of time.
Can you buy gold bars with real money?
No. Bulkhead's pledge is that it will never monetise in-game cash or gold bars: "they must be earned through play."
How much does the Black & Gold AK74 cost in cash?
30 gold bars, which is $6,880,830 at today's rate. The cheapest listings are 5 bars, $1,146,805.
Reading the rate history
The four figures under the rate compare it with the day before, with a week earlier, and with the cheapest and dearest days on record. The chart covers 30 days, 90 days, a year or everything, and the table lists the last fortnight with each day's move.
A falling line is cheaper gold. If a large conversion is coming, the week-on-week tile is the quickest way to see which way the price is heading.
Working out a cosmetic's cash cost
Multiply the listing's bar price by the price of one bar. At $229,361, a 10-bar skin costs $2,293,610 and the 30-bar Black & Gold AK74 costs $6,880,830. The figures on the right are that sum for every listing.
The history was reissued at launch
When Early Access opened on 10 September 2026, the exchange replaced its price history from 20 August onward. Those days now carry far higher prices than the ones shown during the Closed Betas — 22 August reads $684,237, where the beta showed $266,246. This page follows the exchange as it stands; the days before 20 August are unchanged.
