WARDOGS patch notes
Every build, and what it moved. Bulkhead writes the notes — this tracks what they did to the numbers on this site.

Every stat page on this site is stamped to this build. If a figure here is not stamped, it is not a figure we are standing behind.
There are no patch notes yet, and that is not an oversight
WARDOGS has not launched. Bulkhead has published announcements, devlogs and trailers, but it has never published a balance patch note, because there is no live build to balance. Pre-alpha and alpha builds change without a changelog — that is normal for a closed test and it is why nothing on this page predates the Closed Alpha.
The first real patch notes arrive with Steam Early Access. When they do, this page fills up from the top.
What this page will and will not do
It will not reprint Bulkhead's notes. Those are published on the official Steam news hub and a fan site copying them out adds nothing except a slower way to read them. Every entry here links straight to the original.
What it will do is the half you cannot get from the official post: which numbers on this site moved, and why. A patch that drops a rifle's price by $400 does not just change one row — it changes which builds are affordable, which tier the weapon belongs in, and whether the loadouts built around it still add up. Tracking that is the entire reason the meta page exists.
What to expect once patches start
Bulkhead has said more about its update approach than most pre-release studios, and three things are worth knowing before the first note lands.
Early Access runs one to two years. That is from the Steam page, not a guess. It means a long patch cadence with real balance movement rather than a launch build that settles — which is exactly the condition that makes a cost-based meta worth tracking.
The metagame ships in pieces. In its April 2026 update Bulkhead set out the Black Market, the Vault, Player Skills and a Challenge System as systems to be built throughout Early Access, with only the foundation designed. Expect those to arrive as feature patches rather than on day one, and expect the economy to move when they do.
Balance has a stated philosophy. Bulkhead's June devlog described WARDOGS as "a hardcore shooter that doesn't forget it's a game" and framed that as its approach going forward through Early Access. Useful context for reading any future change: the studio has publicly picked a point on the arcade-to-simulation line, so patches that drift from it are the ones worth arguing about.
Tracked on every patch
- Weapon and vehicle prices, re-stamped to the new build
- Tier movements, with the reasoning for each
- Loadout totals that no longer add up
- Map or Control Zone changes
- Any confirmed fact that a patch invalidates

Where the official notes live
Bulkhead posts to the Steam news hub. That is the authoritative source and it should be your first stop for anything time-sensitive — this page exists to tell you what a patch meant, not to be faster than the developer at telling you it happened.
