How much does WARDOGS cost?
WARDOGS costs $39.99 in Steam Early Access in the United States, with a Supporter Edition at $49.99. Prices are regional: the Eurozone pays €39.99, the UK £36.99, and much of Latin America and Turkey sit on a separate US-dollar tier at $24.99. Both editions went on pre-order on 11 August 2026 ahead of the 10 September launch. WARDOGS is not free-to-play, and Bulkhead has confirmed the game will not be monetised at all during Early Access beyond that one purchase.
$39.99 — Supporter Edition $49.99
United States pricing, verified against Steam's store API on 11 August 2026. The price is strongly regional: €39.99 in the Eurozone, £36.99 in the UK, R$119.99 in Brazil, Mex$454.99 in Mexico. Much of Latin America and Turkey sit on a separate US-dollar tier at $24.99/$29.99 — the same currency, 37% below the US price.
Steam store page ↗$59.99
Stated in the 11 August devlog: $59.99 at full release, stepping up from the Early Access price through $49.99 as content lands. The Steam page confirms only that 1.0 will cost more than Early Access, without a figure.
Bulkhead, "10 Reasons why you should NOT Buy WARDOGS" devlog, 11 August 2026 ↗No battle pass, no pay-to-win, no monetisation at all during Early Access
Bulkhead: "No Battlepass. No Pay to Win. No Nikki Minaj Skins. No Bullshit. Earn cosmetics by playing." Hardened on 11 August 2026 alongside pre-orders: "We will NOT monetize the game at any point during Early Access", "We will NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars, they must be earned through play", and "We will NEVER allow you to directly purchase camos." The one paid extra is the $49.99 Supporter Edition, bought once at pre-order.
Steam store page ↗$39.99 for the standard edition, $49.99 for the Supporter Edition. Pre-orders opened on 11 August; from 16:00 UTC on 10 September 2026 both are simply on sale. WARDOGS is not free-to-play.
That price is for Early Access, and it is designed to rise.
The price goes up in steps
Bulkhead has laid out a stair-step plan rather than a single Early Access discount:
| Stage | Price | When |
|---|---|---|
| Early Access launch | $39.99 | Now — 10 September 2026 |
| During year one, as content lands | $49.99 | No dates given |
| Full 1.0 release | $59.99 | Roughly September 2028 |
The logic, in Bulkhead's words: "If the game doesn't have all the features, we can't charge full price." The price climbs as the game earns it, and buying early locks in the lowest rung.
What WARDOGS costs in your region
Steam prices WARDOGS regionally, and the gap is wide enough to matter — some regions pay well under the US figure in dollars. Queried directly from Steam's store API on 11 August 2026:
| Region | Standard | Supporter Edition |
|---|---|---|
| United States | $39.99 | $49.99 |
| Eurozone | €39.99 | €49.99 |
| United Kingdom | £36.99 | £45.99 |
| Canada | CDN$ 49.99 | CDN$ 62.99 |
| Australia | A$ 54.95 | A$ 67.95 |
| Japan | ¥4,980 | ¥6,200 |
| South Korea | ₩47,270 | ₩58,000 |
| China | ¥149.00 | ¥186.00 |
| India | ₹1,969 | ₹2,449 |
| Brazil | R$ 119.99 | R$ 146.99 |
| Mexico | Mex$ 454.99 | Mex$ 564.99 |
| Poland | 164.99 zł | 204.99 zł |
| South Africa | R 374.99 | R 464.99 |
| Latin America and Turkey (USD tier) | $24.99 | $29.99 |
That last row is not a mistake. Steam runs a separate US-dollar tier for much of Latin America and Turkey, and WARDOGS sits at $24.99 there against $39.99 in the United States — the same currency, a 37% lower price. Your Steam account's country determines which you are charged, and it is not something you can pick.
What the Supporter Edition adds
$10 buys cosmetics only, and Bulkhead has been specific about what they are: three "starter weapon" camos (a Valkyra-branded A-91, a Lonestar-branded Bushmaster, a Manticore-branded KH-2002), a "Taxi" camo for the Littlebird helicopter, a supporter icon on the scoreboard, and grenade and helmet bobbleheads.
Nothing in it affects performance, and there is no version of WARDOGS that costs more than $49.99.
What you cannot buy at any price
This is the part worth reading carefully, because it is unusually firm. Bulkhead's own wording:
"We will NOT monetize the game at any point during Early Access."
"We will NEVER monetize in-game cash or gold bars, they must be earned through play."
"We will NEVER allow you to directly purchase camos, camos should show that a player has worked hard to unlock that item not how much money they have."
That matters more here than in most shooters, because the cash economy is the whole game — your balance persists between matches and losses are permanent. A game that sold cash would be selling the outcome. Bulkhead says it will not.
But note the scope, because Bulkhead is unusually direct about it. The no-monetisation pledge covers Early Access. Some form of monetisation is planned for years after the 1.0 release, to cover servers, telemetry, anti-cheat and vault storage once base-game sales stop covering them. The studio's own advice: "we recommend you don't buy Wardogs if you're staunchly against any form of monetization, as you'll become disappointed in a few years post-release." The two permanent promises — never selling cash or gold bars, never selling camos — are stated without that time limit.
The Closed Alpha in August was free to invited players — a test, not a paid early-buy. The Closed Beta on 21–23 August is the first time paying gets you in.
