A bunker workshop bench at dusk: a battered CRT with a cracked bezel showing green error text, a large beetle perched on top of it and smaller ones on the keyboard, racks of blinking hardware behind, and a watchtower visible through the window at sunset.

WARDOGS error codes and crash fixes

Published Updated Data as of Season 1 · 10 Sept 2026

Every error, crash and connection failure players have hit, through both Closed Betas and into Early Access, with the fix for each one. Before the fix, each page says whether the problem is your machine or Bulkhead's servers — because if it is theirs, no amount of verifying game files will help, and the only useful answer is whether it is happening right now.

Things you can fix

Crashes, anti-cheat failures and driver conflicts. Find your symptom, work the steps in order, stop when it launches.

Things you cannot

Queues, empty server browsers and authentication timeouts. These are server-side. The pages below say what is actually happening and how to get round it, and every one of them links to live server status.

How these are graded

Every step carries a label. Confirmed means players demonstrably got back in with it. Reported means it worked for some people and not others. Unconfirmed means it is circulating and we have no evidence either way. The distinction is the point: a troubleshooting page that lists twelve fixes with equal confidence costs you an evening.

One thing we will not do is point you at an executable. A community-built tool called WarFixer circulates as the answer to some of the crashes below. It is an unsigned binary that asks for administrator rights, and nobody publishing it is accountable for what it does — so where it is the popular fix, we have written out the steps it performs instead. You never need to run it.
