Submissions open once the alpha embargo lifts

There is nothing useful to write a WARDOGS guide about yet. The Closed Alpha runs under a content embargo, so no weapon names, prices or map details can legitimately be published by anyone — the terms are here. Opening submissions before that would just invite guesswork.

When it lifts, this is where player-written guides live. In the meantime, the editorial guides cover what is actually known.

What gets published

Community guides are held to the same standard as everything else on this site, because a reader cannot tell who wrote a page from the search result — only that it carries our name.

  • Every claim is labelled. Confirmed, Reported or Unconfirmed, using the same system the editorial pages use.
  • Confirmed claims need a source link. An official post, the Steam page, or a trailer with a timestamp.
  • Observed-from-stream is stated as such. If you did not see it first-hand, say where it came from.
  • Nothing under embargo. Material from a playtest still under NDA is rejected regardless of how good it is.
  • Every submission is read by a person before it appears. Nothing publishes automatically.

Guides keep your byline and are marked as community-written, so readers can tell them apart from editorial work. Questions go to the contact page.

Your work, and what we do with it

Worth being plain about this before you spend an evening writing something, rather than leaving it in a document nobody reads.

  • You keep what you write. Submitting a guide does not sign it over. You are giving WARDOGS Hub permission to publish it here, to edit it, and to translate it — not exclusive rights, so the same material is still yours to post anywhere else.
  • Your byline is the Discord name you signed in with. That name is recorded when the guide is published and stays with it afterwards, so a guide keeps its credit even if you later change your handle or delete your account.
  • We edit before publishing. Sometimes that is a typo, sometimes it is restructuring a section or adding a source label. Anything that changes what a guide actually claims goes back to you first — copy-editing does not, or nothing would ever get published.
  • You can change your mind. Ask and we will take a guide down, or keep it up with the byline anonymised. Either way, say so on the contact page.
  • Submit only your own work. Not something reposted from another site, another creator's video, or generated wholesale and left unchecked.

Signing in stores your Discord user ID, display name and avatar, and nothing else — the detail is on the privacy page.
