Privacy policy

What this site collects, who else receives it, and how to say no. Last updated 7 August 2026.

The short version

WARDOGS Hub is a fan site. There are no accounts, no logins and no newsletter, so we do not ask you for your name, your email address or anything else about you. What we do use is analytics, and — where it is switched on — advertising, both of which set cookies and are run by Google rather than by us.

Who runs this site

WARDOGS Hub is an independent fan project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by BULKHEAD or Team17. For anything about this policy, contact hello@wardogshub.gg or use the contact page.

What we collect directly

If you are here to read, nothing that identifies you personally. There is no comment system and no form that asks who you are. If you email us, we hold that email in order to reply to it, and for no other purpose.

If you sign in to write a community guide

Writing a community guide means signing in with Discord, which is the only part of this site that has an account behind it. Discord tells us three things: your user ID, your display name and your avatar image. We do not receive your email address, your password, your servers, or anything else on your Discord profile.

The display name and avatar are shown as the byline on any guide you publish, which is the point of collecting them. Your user ID links your drafts to you so that nobody else can read or edit them. Drafts are visible only to you and to the people who review submissions.

Ask us and we will delete your account data. Guides you have already published stay up with the byline anonymised unless you ask for those to come down too — tell us which you want on the contact page.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful. It records things like the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you use. IP addresses are anonymised.

Analytics storage is set to denied by default through Google Consent Mode. Nothing analytics-related is stored on your device until you agree to it through the consent banner. You can opt out at any time by changing your choice in that banner, or by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.

Advertising

This site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

  • Advertising cookies are denied by default and are only set if you consent.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors at aboutads.info.
  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Consent, and how to change your mind

If you are in the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, you are shown a consent message before any analytics or advertising cookie is set. Everything except strictly necessary storage starts denied. You can reopen that message and change your answer at any time from the link in the site footer.

Hosting and infrastructure

The site is hosted on Netlify and its content is stored with Supabase. Both keep standard server logs, which can include IP addresses, for security and to make the site work. We do not use those logs to build any profile of you.

Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, the UK GDPR and GDPR give you the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for asking.

Because we hold no accounts and no direct records, most requests are best directed at Google rather than at us — they are the party actually processing analytics and advertising data. For anything we do hold, email hello@wardogshub.gg.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.
