WARDOGS Season 3 is set for 12 November, and seasons go to three months

A Bulkhead developer says Season 3 starts on 12 November. On its new Hot Zone podcast, the team said later seasons will run about three months and Intel is aimed at Q2 2027.

Season 2 of WARDOGS ends early and Season 3 starts on 12 November, according to a Bulkhead developer. On 23 October brammflakes, an account tagged as a developer on Steam and the same name CEO Joe Brammer uses on X, replied to a player review that "Season 3 has been brought forward to November 12th to give everyone a proper fresh start" (Reported). There is no Steam news post or X post with the date yet. We have seen the reply only in screenshots shared on r/WarDogs, where the larger thread passed 1,900 comments in a day.

The date fits what the studio said on the first episode of The Hot Zone, a new developer podcast announced by @WARDOGS on 23 October. On it, the team said Season 2 would run four to five weeks rather than six to eight (Confirmed). Season 2 went live on 15 October, so four weeks lands on 12 November.

How long will seasons last after Season 3?

About three months, with a smaller update halfway through. On the podcast, the team said monthly seasons are not something the studio can keep up with, and that Season 2 was overloaded: fear of running out of content led them to push too much in at once, and the quality dropped (Confirmed). Bulkhead has not published the exact length.

Levels and cash still reset when Season 3 starts. If you were deciding whether to keep grinding Season 2, you now have about two and a half weeks. What resets in a wipe →

What did Bulkhead reveal about Season 2?

The podcast is the first time the studio has put numbers on the launch. All of these are Bulkhead's own figures (Confirmed):

What Season 1 Season 2
Players About 3.4–3.5 million 1.5 million logins in the first 24 hours
Share of players driving 9% 44% on day one
Levelling speed, top 25% Baseline 2.4 times faster

Some of the details behind the launch-day anger were smaller than they looked. The blue team's cash and XP bonus was 2.5%, and it came off after about ten hours. Fewer than 400 players used the driver exploit, but their tanks turned up in an estimated 30–40% of matches. The team said that is why "tanks are already here" spread so quickly. What the 16 October fix changed →

The faster levelling was aimed at a real problem. In Season 1, about 70,000 players reached level 35, and very large numbers quit at levels 9 and 14, before their roles came online at level 20. Why progression felt slow →

When is Intel coming?

Q2 2027 is the target. On the podcast, the team said Intel "looks like Q2 next year" (Confirmed). Intel is a seasonal resource earned at a daily pace. It is not capped, so heavy players still progress, just more slowly. You can bank it if you miss days, and spend it on the specific gear you want, so a sniper can unlock one rifle without working through the rest of the tree.

Skills come from the same plan. Role XP would earn points in per-role trees with small passive bonuses and bigger capstones, and Skills persist across seasons. They have no date. Intel, Gunsmith and Skills explained →

What else is coming, and what is undecided?

  • Limited Mode servers. The developer reply says they come with Season 3, with no power weapons and no vehicles (Reported). On the podcast, the team said infrared gear will not be in Limited Mode.
  • Infrared rangefinders. Undecided. Most of the team on the podcast would remove or rework them, for example so that trees and bushes block them. They stressed this was raw opinion, not a decision (Confirmed).
  • Tanks. The team called 44% drivers unsustainable. Options include moving tanks later in progression, but nothing was decided. How to kill a tank before then →
  • A new map. It has a multi-floor hospital and more verticality, half flat and half bowl. It has no name or date yet.
  • A full release in 2028. The team said the full game was always planned for 2028, and that the price will go up over time.

What does not change

Bulkhead has not posted Season 3 patch notes, and the date is not yet on the Steam news hub. The flying-vehicle exploit Bulkhead promised to fix on 20 October has no announced fix yet. The price is still $24.99 on Steam. A developer vlog with a Season 3 preview is promised for the week of 26 October. We will update this post when the date is official.
