Can you skip the WARDOGS tutorial?
There is no official skip button, but players report a workaround: once you land in the tutorial, press Esc, wait about 15 to 30 seconds until Leave Match unlocks, then leave the match. Players say that is enough to move on. Bulkhead has not confirmed or documented this.
There is no official skip option, but a player-found workaround exists. Bulkhead has not built a skip button into the tutorial and has not commented on requests for one, but a method reported on WARDOGS Steam Discussions lets you exit it early.
The reported method
- Load into the tutorial.
- Press Esc as soon as you land. Leave Match is locked at first; players report it unlocks after about 15 to 30 seconds on that menu ("You have to remain on that menu for 15s").
- Choose Leave Match. In one player's words: "waited 15-30 sec then leave match and your set".
Is the tutorial required?
Players treat it as a gate you have to get through once, either by finishing it or with the workaround above; Bulkhead has not said whether skipping it has any other effect. Community reaction to the tutorial has been mixed: Steam Discussions threads call it slow and say it teaches basic FPS controls rather than WARDOGS' actual systems — economy, buying loadouts, FOBs — which is a large part of why players look for a way out of it early.
