First livestream: raw gameplay, and a Twitch ban
Bulkhead streams unedited pre-alpha footage with real playtesters. The stream ends in a Twitch ban over an in-game prop.
Bulkhead ran its first livestream on 22 July, showing unedited pre-alpha gameplay with actual playtesters rather than a cut trailer.
It ended in a Twitch ban. PCGamesN reported the cause as an in-game prop — a flying dildo — that tripped Twitch’s moderation. Funny, and mostly irrelevant to whether the game is good, but it is the reason a lot of people first heard the name.
The stream itself is the more useful artefact. Raw footage with testers is the closest thing to an honest look at the build that existed before the Closed Alpha, and it is worth more than any trailer for judging pacing, time-to-kill and how the three-team fight actually resolves.
Two caveats on anything you take from it. It is a pre-alpha build, so numbers and balance are provisional. And it is a developer-run stream, so the map, the matchup and the players were not neutral. Treat it as evidence, not as a review.
