Season 2 is the biggest set of patch notes WARDOGS has had: four weapons, four vehicles, faster levelling and a reprice of the vendor. Bulkhead posted the Season 02 patch notes on Steam at 14:59 UTC on 14 October, the day before release. The update is 0.2.0, with maintenance scheduled for 08:00 to 09:30 UTC on 15 October. The full list is on our patch notes page; this is the plain-language version.

What are the biggest changes?

  • Faster levelling. Role level 20 now takes 111,500 XP instead of 250,000, which Bulkhead says is less than half the playtime. Unlocks were also reshuffled across every track. How progression works →
  • Four new weapons. The TCX-SPR assault rifle, PP-19 Bizon SMG, Evo-3 Ultra LMG and M14 marksman rifle, plus new optics, muzzle devices, magazines and bipods. A Molotov is added too. The weapons list →
  • Four new vehicles. Two Wolf-110s, the T-72B3 tank and the Flakpanzer Gepard anti-air vehicle. The T-72 is slower than the L2A6, cheaper and slightly more fuel-efficient.
  • Pricier heavy vehicles. The L2A6 goes from $14,000 to $22,000 at the vendor, and its destroyed reward drops from $14,000 to $11,000.
  • Softer high-calibre rounds. .308 is down 25%, 7.62x54mmR 20%, 7.62x39mm 19% and .50 Cal 16%, with extra hit-location damage for snipers. Level 3 armour and helmets block 50% instead of 55%, and Level 4 blocks 60% instead of 65%.
  • Rain. A new weather preset, with thunder loud enough to mask footsteps.

What is the Lonestar experiment?

For Season 2 only, Lonestar gets a cash and XP bonus for winning. The notes give no percentage. Any team 40 or more points behind second place gets 20% off at the vendor, and that applies to all three factions. Every spawn on Bakurani has moved. The factions compared →

What changes for drivers and logistics?

Artillery now earns Driver XP rather than Support XP. Repair XP goes to Driver or Pilot depending on the vehicle, and return trips pay $50 and 25 XP per trip in a row, up to 10 trips.

Did anything change after the notes?

Yes. Bulkhead later corrected the logistics section: the first values were base values without the Control Zone multiplier, and the notes now list what you receive in the zone. That doubled the pallet streak to +$250 and +100 XP and the crate streak to +$100 and +50 XP. Bulkhead has also removed the Lonestar bonus and slowed Driver levelling. Read this entry as the 14 October version of events.

What is not in the notes?

  • No Wager vendor at launch. The notes say it opens "at a later date". A volunteer moderator on Discord said around the one-year mark. That is reported, not an official date.
  • No percentage for the Lonestar bonus.
  • No re-checked stats on this site yet. Prices and unlock levels on our weapon, vehicle and loadout pages are still stamped Season 1 until we have checked them against Season 2.
