WARDOGS Season 2 Release Date

Bulkhead has never put a date on a season. Its own executive producer just did, in a reply most people scrolled past.

Ask when WARDOGS Season 2 arrives and the honest answer, until this week, was a shrug. Bulkhead has never posted a date for a season, and the site's own FAQ on progress wipes says as much: no season length has been published, only a promise that a reset will be announced ahead of time. That changed on 18 September, not in a Steam post, but in a reply the game's own executive producer typed to a fan on X.

What Joe Brammer actually said

Joe Brammer is the CEO of Bulkhead, the studio making WARDOGS, and its executive producer. On the evening of 17 September he posted that he had played the Season 2 build:

I got to play the Season 2 build today, I wish we could get it out faster.. but reality is time exists. Thanks for all the feedback and more importantly data, we learned so much in just a week. Season 2 and 3 look sick… stuff we had to cut to hit early access now coming to fruition is awesome..

A fan, @Onepacifist1, pushed for specifics: was this a vague update that could land "sometime within the next few months", or something with a real foundation behind it, and did the recent talk of a monthly wipe cycle mean seasons are monthly too. Brammer's reply, posted at 8:13 AM on 18 September, is the one worth reading twice:

It's about a month after launch, so 3 weeks away-ish

Two numbers, from the same person, in the same sentence. They are not quite the same date, and that gap is the whole story.

The date this points to

Early Access launched 10 September 2026. "About a month after launch" lands on 10 October. "3 weeks away-ish" from 18 September lands on 9 October. Those two framings, from a producer speaking loosely in a reply rather than reading from a roadmap, converge on the same three-day window almost by accident — which is a better sign than either number alone. Call it around 9 to 10 October 2026.

That is our model, not Bulkhead's. Nothing on Steam names a date, and Brammer hedged his own number with "ish" before he'd finished the sentence. Treat 9–10 October as the estimate a senior person at the studio is currently working towards, not as a patch you can put on a calendar.

What this means for the wipe nobody could pin down

The fan's question had two halves, and Brammer only answered one of them. He gave a date. He did not say whether WARDOGS wipes progress every month, and the site's progress-wipe FAQ is still accurate as written: Bulkhead has confirmed that cash and level progression reset at the end of "a major update cycle", with remaining cash converted into Gold Bars that survive permanently, but it has never named a fixed season length or committed to "monthly" as a cadence.

What Brammer's reply does is give that reset its first real anchor. If Season 2 opens around 9–10 October, and if a season boundary is also a wipe point, then Season 1 turns out to have run about a month — useful context even though nobody at Bulkhead has said the word "monthly" out loud. Until they do, plan around the Gold Exchange rather than a clock: convert cash to Gold Bars before a season ends rather than after, because Gold Bars are the one balance a reset can't touch.

What's actually in Season 2 and 3

Here is the honest gap. Brammer's tweet tells you his mood, not the patch notes. "Look sick" and "coming to fruition" describe content that was cut to make the 10 September Early Access deadline, now apparently ready to ship, but he named no weapon, vehicle, map, mode or mechanic. Season 3 gets the same one-word review and nothing else. Nobody outside the studio has played either build, and that includes this site.

Soldiers stack supply crates beside an unfinished watchtower at dusk while another studies a map lit by a lantern on a Humvee's hood.
The stuff Bulkhead cut to hit Early Access is reportedly coming back for Season 2 and 3 - Brammer just hasn't said what it is.

Anyone publishing a specific Season 2 weapon list, map or vehicle right now is guessing, no matter how the post is framed. When Bulkhead does post patch notes for it, expect them to land the way Patch 0.11's did and the way the Season 1 changelog did before it: a single dated Steam post that this page will update against, not a slow drip of teasers.

What the community wants fixed before then

The replies under Brammer's tweet are a shorter version of the same threads running on Reddit and Steam right now, and they're worth reading as requests rather than confirmations.

  • Nerf mortars. @Conroy_MENA's reply — "Mortars need to be gutted as well" — landed in the same thread and echoes a fight that's been running since launch week. It has not had a developer answer here either; see why mortars took over WARDOGS for the full argument and what Bulkhead has and hasn't said about it since.
  • Fix the Humvee C4 exploit. @Onepacifist1 asked for the "humvee c4 window thing" to be patched before Season 2, without saying they'd wait for it. Not itemised in Patch 0.11's fix list, and not mentioned by Brammer.
  • Give notice before the wipe. @MoonlitUK asked for a week's warning before a season ends, so players grinding gold in the final stretch know how much runway they have. Bulkhead's own Gold Exchange panel already promises a reset date will be "announced ahead of time" — this is a fan asking the studio to make good on wording it has already committed to.

None of these are commitments. They're the loudest asks in the room Brammer was posting in, and nothing here confirms the studio will act on any of them by October.

What we still don't know

No patch notes exist for Season 2 or 3. No date has been posted on Steam, only Brammer's own estimate. Nobody has confirmed whether a season boundary is also a progress wipe, or whether 9–10 October is when that reset happens if it is one at all. And nothing about actual content — guns, vehicles, maps, the FOB and mortar changes the community is asking for — has been named by anyone at Bulkhead. Until a dated Steam post says otherwise, that's the honest state of it.

Common questions

When is WARDOGS Season 2 coming out?

Not officially dated. On 18 September 2026, executive producer Joe Brammer told a fan on X that Season 2 lands about a month after Early Access launch, which he separately called three weeks away. Early Access launched 10 September 2026, so both figures point to roughly 9 to 10 October 2026. That is his own rough estimate, not an announced patch date, and Bulkhead has not put it in a Steam post.

Did Bulkhead confirm WARDOGS wipes progress every month?

No. A fan asked Brammer directly whether seasons work out to a monthly wipe cycle. He answered the timing question, about a month after launch, three weeks away, but did not say yes or no to the monthly-cycle part. Bulkhead separate documentation says progress resets at the end of a season with the date announced ahead of time, but no fixed season length has been published.

What's actually in WARDOGS Season 2?

Bulkhead has not detailed it. Brammer described playing the Season 2 build and called it and Season 3 sick, and said content cut to hit the Early Access deadline is coming to fruition, but named no weapon, vehicle, map or mode. Treat any specific Season 2 content list you see elsewhere as a guess until Bulkhead posts patch notes.

Is Joe Brammer's Season 2 date official?

It is a real statement from the game's executive producer, posted on the studio's own X account holder, not a leak or a rumour. But he hedged it himself with the word ish and gave two slightly different framings in the same reply. Treat it as the best estimate available, not a locked release date, until Bulkhead publishes one.

Will WARDOGS Season 2 reset your progress?

Bulkhead's Gold Exchange panel states that cash and level progression reset at the end of a major update cycle, with leftover cash converted to Gold Bars that stay on the account. Whether Season 2's launch is that reset point has not been confirmed either way.
