Bulkhead confirms console plans, without a date
"We are coming to console. That is our plan, we just do not know when." Xbox and PlayStation versions are intended — but nothing has been dated.
Bulkhead went on camera to answer three questions directly: the 100-player three-team split, monetisation, and consoles.
On consoles the answer was unambiguous about intent and silent about timing:
We absolutely want to come to Xbox and PlayStation. Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about you guys. We’re coming to console. That’s our plan, we just don’t know when.
That is worth separating carefully, because coverage tends to collapse it in one direction or the other. A console version is planned — this is not a “no comment” and not a rumour. No window exists — not a year, not a phase, not “after Early Access”. Both halves are true at once.
The practical reading: WARDOGS launches into Steam Early Access on PC, spends one to two years there, and console versions arrive at some undefined point in or after that period. Anyone quoting you a console date is guessing.
This also makes controller support a question of when rather than whether — you cannot ship to PlayStation and Xbox without it — even though the game is not currently listed as controller-supported on Steam.
